About

The National Center of Competences for Healthy Lifestyle is a part of the UBBMed-School of Health, co-created by the Babeș-Bolyai University and the Romanian Academy of Science, bringing together both a strong psychosocial expertise (by the UBB School of Psychology and the Institute of Psychology of the Romanian Academy of Science) and a strong biomedical expertise (based on UBBMed, Romanian Academy, and other clinical units distributed nationally).

Starting from the key role of the lifestyle in the noncomunicable diseases, the Center is focused on:

(1) advance research, both exploratory and applied and both disciplinary and multi/inter/transdisciplinary;

(2) advanced education (including innovative continuing education);

(3) innovative services to society.

The National Center of Competences for a Healthy Life Style is co-coordinated by:

(1) Professor, MD, PhD., Nicolae Hâncu, Romanian Academy;

(2) Professor, Psy., PhD., Daniel David, Babeș-Bolyai University.

The scientific secretary is: Ceasar Bianca, MA

The team includes scientific and clinical staff from the groups coordinated by professors David and Hâncu.

Mission

Starting from the key role of the lifesteyle in the noncomunicable diseases, the Center is focused on:

(1) advanced research, both exploratory and applied and both disciplinary and multi/inter/transdisciplinary;

(2) advanced education (including innovative continuing education);

(3) innovative services to society.

Specific actions:

The Center is involved in the scientific program of the XIII Congress of Chronic NonCommunicable Diseases (9-10 February, 2024).
